Join us on November 30th, Small Business Saturday for a fun-filled time of songs, jokes, and Christmas cheer as Ole & Lena take the stage to officially kick off the holiday season. Find out about their lutefisk-eating contest, tips on how to talk Minnesotan, and sing along with old familiar songs.

Treat yourself to some classic bbq from Swede’s Smokin’ Grill (don’t worry, lutefisk is not on the menu!). A fun event for the whole family of all ages.

What to do with your fresh bundle of ginger.

There is nothing more aromatic, tender, and delicious than freshly harvested, Minnesota grown, organic ginger. In the store you will usually find only the root, but the stalks and leaves are equally delicious.

First, don’t throw out the stalks and leaves as they are also edible. At minimum you can make some incredible ginger tea, but also use them sliced up and added to stir frys or used to infuse flavor into baked goods. The easist thing to do is to ask Chef Google “how to use ginger stalks and leaves” and you’ll find quite a nice list of fun ways to prepare it.

For the root, be sure to clean it well as the crevices to get full of dirt. Once cleaned, of course the root can be used in any way you like to use ginger. But if it is more than you can use up in about a week, you can just slice it up and freeze it into portions that work for you.

GINGER FEST – Saturday October 5th Noon – 8pm and Sunday October 6th Noon – 6pm

We are celebrating the GINGER harvest! On Saturday October 5th and Sunday October 6th join us for Ginger Fest. We’re celebrating the ginger harvest, a crop that is not usually grown here in Minnesota. Pick up some freshly harvested organic ginger, ginger syrup, ginger tea, ginger cider, ginger ale, PLUS ginger gelato and candied ginger made by Rustic Island Farm. Meet the adorable alpacas and shop for alpaca wear as the weather begins to chill. On Saturday Thai Thai Street Food will be serving up his delicious Thai food and will include our fresh ginger in his creations. At 6pm Bluegrass Jam takes the stage. On Sunday 10/6 feast on the Extraordinary Wood-fired Pizza by El Hornito Wood Fired Pizza and walk the Sugar Maple Trail of Colors. Always fun for the whole family including the dog!

September 2024 CSA

September CSA harvest includes: leeks, grapes, apples, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes, sage, hearty greens (collards, kale, chard), one dozen eggs and three four packs of beverages.

We Want Your Apples

There is no such thing as toon many Minnesota apples. We will happily take your unwanted apples and magically convert them into our award-winning cider! Sorry, we do not have the staff available to come and pick them. We do have a big bin to drop them off, and we greatly appreciate them!
